Shimoda Izu – Rocky Shores, White Sand Beaches and Bright Blue Water
It was my first time in Izu and I very much fell in love with it. Usually it is quite hard to find nice beaches in Japan. So many of the beaches are so rocky or filled with black sand that makes them look so muddy. My standard for beaches of course is very high after living in Australia and Thailand and Izu is up to my expecation. Not too far from Tokyo, the area is just so beautiful with its combination of headlines, rocky shores, white sandy beaches, bright blue water and mountains. Locals in the area were actually drying seaweed in the front of the house and I envy the people around here who get to enjoy this environment every day.
I definitely want to go back again this summer.
