Mizuno Hotel – A Hotel with a Stunning View of Mt. Fuji

I am writing this blog from Mizuno Hotel right now at Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture. Lake Kawaguchi is one of the five lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji. Recently, there are so many ambivalent issues going on in my life that have caused me so much agony. I just had to escape from the city for a few days to clear my mind. So all I want to do is just stare at a magnificent view and cherish the world as it is. The best view close by Tokyo is of course Mt. Fuji.

Mizuno Hotel might not be the grandest hotel but it is probably the hotel with one of the best views in the neighbourhood. It sits on top of a steep hill but still by the lake and this ideal position gives the hotel an advantage when it comes to witnessing the grandeur of Mt. Fuji. For this trip, I booked the room on the highest floor of the hotel. Honestly the atmosphere of the onsen and the food here are pretty much average but the best thing is the hot tub/jacuzzi on the rooftop with the view of Mt. Fuji and the sunset. To use the hot tub for 30 minutes, one has to pay 1000 yen but it is highly recommended. I got to use at hot tub around 5 in the afternoon and the sun was about to set.

This hotel definitely needs to be renovated and this makes the rooms to be quite affordable. Come to Mizuno Hotel, not for the five star services but come to enjoy the magnificence of Mt. Fuji.
