Otaru – Frozen Northern Beauty of Japan

I didn’t get to blog for nearly a week because I was in Hokkaido, the most northern prefecture of Japan.  Hokkaido is known for its cool flowery summer and its freezing snow-white winter. On the first night, I stayed in Otaru, a port city famed for its beautiful European style canals. This reminded me of my life back in Amsterdam.

Here are the photos from this freezing experience.
