Showa Memorial Park – An Autumn Must in Tokyo

I have been so many parks in Tokyo but the Showa Memorial Park is a charm of its own. Situated on the outskirt of Tokyo, one must board on the JR Chuo line, get off at Tachikawa Station and walk from there.

Here the park is huge that despite being the weekend with perfect weather, it did not feel way too crowded at all.  Another great thing is that there are plenty of grass to sit on and enjoy the weather. Some people might not understand this feeling but in Tokyo some parks lack grasses. At this park you can also get on a boat with your date just like Inokashira park. During the fall, you can enjoy the beautiful golden yellow leaves of the ginkgo trees. It is too bad that it did not come with Japanese garden as well or else it would have the complete package of what a park should be.

Nevertheless, I had a terrific lovely day.
