Koishikawa Korakuen Garden – a Japanese Garden in the Middle of Tokyo

I have always love the park and I try to visit somewhere new all the time. Since the weather was quite nice in Tokyo, I decided to go to Koishikawa Korakuen Garden next to the Tokyo Dome.

I love this park. When people think about parks in Tokyo, they will usually think about Ueno Park, Yoyogi Park and Shinjuku Gyoen but those parks pale in comparison to the Koishikawa Korakuen Garden. This park might not be as big but it is an authentic oriental style garden with Japanese maples, rocks, traditional bridges, and carps inside the ponds.

The leaves just started to turn a bit red but it should be even more stunning when the Japanese maples are fully red like fire during the peak of autumn. Can’t wait to come back here again.
