Asama Shrine Tamagawa

Yesterday the typhoon swept across Tokyo and I pretty much stayed inside the entire time. So today I decided to explore somewhere new. On my way to university, I decided to drop by Tamagawa on the Toyoko Line to go for a walk and found this beautiful place called the Asama Shrine.

The shrine kinda sits on a hill next to the Tamagawa river and you have to climb up to the shrine. It has this enchanted feeling like the shrine takes you far away from Tokyo as you slowly walk up the stairs.

Then you will get to see very beautiful shrine with a green roof.

Apart from the shrine itself, another spectacular thing is the huge deck all elevated up so you can get the view of the Tamagawa river and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Really glad I went on this little exploration today.
