Hamarikyu Park – Japanese Garden

I am actually in Bangkok right now but I still want my blog to have a focus on Japan as well. Therefore for the month of August, I have prepared some materials already for the Japanese content so that I can still show Japan as well as Thailand at the same time.

I actually went to Hamarikyu Park for the first time and I loved it. Hamarikyu Park is a Japanese garden situated next to Tokyo Bay closed by Shiodome and the Tsukiji Fish Market. (To see my previous blog on the fish market click here)

The first main attraction is that you can walk in an enormous traditional Japanese garden, filled with Japanese pines. A lot of the parks in Tokyo don’t have a lot of grass but this park has an abundance of great green grass. Another attraction is the traditional tea house on an island in the middle of water where you can have authentic green tea in a traditional house with a spectacular view next to the water. Moreover, if you love flowers and you usually have to go far away from Tokyo to see some flower fields, you can also simply go to Hamarikyu park as well for it features seasonal flower fields.

It is definitely a lovely park. I would definitely come back for sure.
