Matsumoto Castle’s Interior
In Japan most castles were reconstructed to look like the original castles. Therefore the interior is often as plain as an empty white gallery. However, at Matsumoto Castle, I got to see the original interior of a Japanese castle for the very first time.
Just look at those wooden beams.
Wow a samurai armour.
This is the only floor with wooden blinds to create a separate room. People believed that the feudal lord of the Matsumoto Castle used to sleep here. When the sunlight hits the varnished wooden floor, the room dazzles in my view.
Japanese Castles are basically forts for defensive purposes so they building barely provides comfort.
