The Standard Grill – Meatpacking District

On a very sunny in New York, I walked to the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking district for a light outdoor lunch. The Standard Grill, the restaurant of the hotel has a beautiful area to sit outside under the shade with lush green vibrant plants.

I had the Waldorf Salad with green apples, celery, pickled grapes and caramelised walnuts. The sourness of the apples and the picked grapes will certainly make you up and get you ready for the day. Once you start to eat the caramelised walnut, the sweet and sour taste in the mouth is just simply refreshing.

I also love shrimp cocktails. So refreshing to eat on a hot sunny day in the city.
