Glass & Ceramics for Presents
I have been meaning to blog about this for a while and now I finally got a chance to do it today. On my birthday last month, I got ceramics and glass for presents for the first time in my life. I guess as your get older what you get on your birthday will change but I have found these presents to be very special. I have to really thank my friends for them.
Ceramics and glass are supposed to last for eternity but you have to take care of them. In my opinion, they are fragile like friendships. If you want these items and friendships to last until your last day on earth you have to put some care.
This is why I have found these items to be very amazing. Who knows in the future when I look back at these items I will be reminded of the friends that I have made in my lifetime.
When I was kid, I got a Japanese lacquered box with a similar bunny on it as a present from Japan from a man who I loved like my very own father. I can no longer meet him but every time I look at that lacquered box it always reminds me of him. I guess this rabbit ceramic can now go with that lacquered box and remind me of the lovely girl who got this for me.
I got this limited edition Wedgwood cup from my Japanese friend. The floral and the colours really portray my artistic aesthetic.
I also got Tiffany’s glass from a new Thai friend. He told me that the present comes as a pair because a lover will also come with this present and the two of you will use them to enjoy the company of one and another.
If you are not sure what to get your friends for his or her birthday, get them ceramics and glass.
