Walking around Tokyo Tower

Today was a very sunny warm Autumn day in Tokyo, I simply had to go out for a walk. I decided to go to Tokyo Tower for the first time on such a beautiful day.

I got out at Hamamatsucho station in Tokyo and walked toward Tokyo Tower. On the way there was a temple called Zojoji.

This Buddhist temple is actually known for tiny statues that protect the souls of deceased children. This is one of the reasons that I like Japanese temples more than Thai temples. For me one of the greatest values taught in Buddhism is compassion. I felt compassion when I thought that some parents who might lost their child may find some spiritual comfort from small stone statues such as these. As for a Thai temple, I do not know how an extravagant aesthetic of gold and colored glass conveys the message of compassion.

You can see Roppongi and Shinjuku.

I am actually afraid of height, you had thought about this when I decided to go there alone.

I still love the uniform of Japanese elevator ladies.
